Cut in land rates sought

Jabalpur garment manufacturers, more than 600 in number, have asked for concessions in land rates.

The district industries centre has identified a place in the Richhai industrial area but manufacturers are not ready to move there, though the rates are Rs 3-12 per square feet.

Initially, the project was estimated at Rs 27 crore, which may go up to Rs 50 crore under the "Industrial Upgrade Plan".
