Dale Carnegie plans Bengal school

US-based global management training company, Dale Carnegie Training, is planning to set up a finishing school in West Bengal for soft skills and to expand its services portfolio.

Sanjay Jha, executive director of Dale Carnegie, said, “Dale is in advanced stage of tying up with a telecom company in India for sourcing 5,000 people for them as well as manage their training.”

The company is also bullish on corporate training for sectors like insurance and banking, IT, IteS, and retail. The company is planning a finishing school in West Bengal for individuals, offering 144-hour part time courses over three months costing around Rs 35-40,000 per student.

Dale Carnegie would launch e-learning for corporates to make soft skills training more convenient. “Dale is planning to offer new services like employee opinion and satisfaction survey as well as employee assessment services,” Jha said.

It was working with schools and colleges in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore, and was eyeing Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai schools.

Dale Carnegie has already provided training to over 400 companies in customer services, sales and communication skills. Dale Carnegie recently opened a finishing school in Karnataka with Walchand PeopleFirst as partner.

The institute, to be called Walchand Dale Carnegie Finishing School, will impart soft skills' training for IT, ITeS, retail, banking, telecom and FMCG employers. The 25,000 sq.ft. school would get a 35-acre campus at Ramanagaram satellite town worth Rs 70 crore soon.
