Ernst & Young, the global professional services firm, has announced the launch of its 11th Entrepreneur Of The Year Program™ in India.
The winners of these awards will be selected by a jury after a detailed evaluation of all nominations. Starting this year, companies will also be judged on corporate governance initiatives, apart from a host of other criteria, according to a statement.
This year’s panel of judges is chaired by M Damodaran, former chairman of the Securities & Exchange Board of India, the stock market regulator. The other judges are former ICICI Bank chairman N Vaghul, The Oberoi Group’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer P R S Oberoi, Ashok Leyland Managing Director R Seshasayee, HSBC India Group Manager & Country Head Naina Lal Kidwai and Apax Partners’ Managing Partner Neeraj Bharadwaj.
Nominations are open for owners of organisations and well as managers. The last date for entries is September 15.
“The current economic environment is posing dynamic business challenges, but Indian entrepreneurs have continued to show both resilience and tenacity. This programme aspires to recognise those individuals who have created lasting value for their stakeholders and are focused on building truly exceptional enterprises,” said Rajiv Memani, country managing partner, Ernst & Young India.
Since inception, over 75 leading Indian entrepreneurs have received these awards.
