Faced with prospects of being charged with contempt of court besides losing jobs, medical students and resident doctors in Delhi today decided to resume work from tomorrow.

The students of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences who have been spearheading the agitation against reservation for OBCs were the first to decide to resume work.

Later, a meeting of students and interns from other medical colleges and hospitals concurred with the AIIMS students' decision to resume working.

The Maulana Azad Medical College, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital and Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences took part in the meeting held at AIIMS today evening.

However, the student members under the banner of Youth for Equality said they would continue the 'movement' against reservation.

Asked whether they had finally decided to accept the offer of the government, Dr Binod Patra of AIIMS Resident Doctors' Association said that they had decided to wait and watch.
