Prime Minister Atal bihari Vajpayee said development would be the main focus of the National democratic Alliance's (NDA) campaign in the coming Lok Sabha polls.

When, on his arrival at the airport here yesterday, reporters asked him whether development or Ayodhya was going to be the poll plank for the National democratic Alliance, he said, "development."

But when the question on Ayodhya was repeated, he said, "All these are there".

To a question about the National democratic Alliance's major campaign themes for the south, he said, "I will tell it in Kanyakumari tomorrow".

Asked whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was going to rule on its own if it got 300-plus seats in the Lok Sabha, he said, "our party leaders will tell you".

Vajpayee arrived here on his way to Kanyakumari where he would inaugurate work on the north-south corridor highway project tomorrow.
