The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) raided houses belonging to deputy inspector general of prisons D.J. Chaudhary, and registered a case against him and his wife under the Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA).
Chaudhary and his wife have been charged with possessing wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income. Offences were registered under sections 13(1)(e) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act and section 109 of the Indian Penal Code on Sunday.
Four anti-corruption bureau parties searched the residential premises Chaudhary in Pune, Kolhapur and Satara, official sources said.
