Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has said his government had the blessings of senior Congress leaders Arjun Singh and Madhavrao Scindia. Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday evening, Singh said he had cordial relations with both of them and it was wrong to assume that they wanted a change of leadership in Madhya Pradesh.
Referring to former Union minister Arvind Netam, who had joined the Bahujan Samaj Party recently, Singh said he would have to return to the party fold as he will not get the honour and the position that he enjoyed in Congress.
Congress leaders of the state, who had deserted the party before the last Lok Sabha election, had to return, he said.

However, Singh said Netams decision to join the BSP would have no effect on the Congress.
Singh said he had close contacts with some leaders and MLAs of the BSP but he did not believe in luring leaders and MLAs of other parties.
But if anybody who mattered in public life wants to join us, I will be the first person to welcome him at the doorstep of the Congress office, Singh added.
