The business advisory committee (BAC) meeting between Democratic Front (DF) members and opposition leaders today resolved to allow a discussion on the recommendations made to the appropriation bill before putting it to the vote in the Vidhan Sabha (lower house) on Thursday.
This comes as a setback for the section within the Congress party and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), belonging to the western parts of Maharashtra, that hoped to merely reject the recommendations made by the Vidhan Parishad (upper house) during the Budget session to the appropriation bill.
