In an aggressive posture to push its case ahead of the Cancun meet of the World trade Organisation (WTO), India has warned of a backlash in developing countries if the pace of economic reforms was seen as forced from outside or resulted in dislocation of the domestic economy.
To maintain the credibility of the multilateral trading system, India also asked negotiators to focus on the areas like services, which are of commercial interest to developing countries, an official release said.
