RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav today said doors were open for a post-poll alliance with the Left in the event of the Congress-led UPA not being in a position to form a government.
"The doors for a post-poll alliance with the Left is still open. We had difference with the Left only over the civilian nuclear deal and nothing else. We have been friends with CPI(M) for a long time," Prasad told reporters when asked if he was prepared to join hands with the Left in the event of the UPA not being in a position to form its government.
The railway minister, however, said he was confident that the UPA will be able to form the government.
