Election officials here today warned the candidates contesting from this constituency that action will be initiated against them if they fail to submit details of their poll expenses.
A total 21 candidates are in fray from Sonepat Lok Sabha constituency which goes for voting on May 7.
While reviewing the poll expenses of the candidates today, the election observers found that 16 candidates had not submitted the expenditure details till date.
The officials said the action will be initiated under the Election Rules, if the erring candidates did not submit their poll expenditure details immediately.
The candidates, on April 22, were asked to submit their expenditure details by April 25. Later, they were asked to submit the same by April 30.
The election officials also issued fresh notices to the erring candidates for not submitting their expenditure details within stipulated time.
