The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will soon move a court in Jharkhand for obtaining custody of former chief minister Madhu Koda, who was today arrested by the vigilance commission of that state and was sent to 14 days judicial custody.

Official sources said the ED, which had repeatedly sent summons to 38-year-old Koda to appear before it in connection with the money laundering case against him, will bring him to the national capital once they get the custody.

Koda had earlier evaded the Directorate's summons citing various reasons including his participation in the election campaign.

Sources said the ED which had registered cases against the former CM and his close associates under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act has found huge illegal investment and hawala trail which connects Koda to the scam.
