Doordarshan has drawn up an elaborate plan to cover the elections in Uttar Pradesh. It has has tied up with the National Informatics Centre to give the latest election news and analyses of the polls. Nalini Singh's curtain-raiser on the trends and analayses, "Sardar se Sarokar" was telecast yesterday(Monday) on DD-1. The analyses will be beamed live from Doordarshan kendra Lucknow on October 9 between 1630 hrs and 1955 and from 1630 hrs to 2030 hrs on October 10. The anchor person will be Yogendra Yadav of the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies.
Noted journalists and social scientists, along with political leaders and members of the public, will provide the inputs.
On October ten, the election analyses will include panel analyses which will be telecast from 1630 hrs to 2030 hrs by the Lucknow kendra. The election analyses will also be telecast from 2200 hrs to 2230 hrs on October 9 and from 2120 hrs to 2230 hrs on October 10 on DD one and Doordarshan India, the international channel beamed through PAS-4.
