Seventeen motormen among the several who struck work yesterday and today have resumed duties, according to television reports.
The reports further say that the threat of imposition of the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) seems to have prompted the 17 to return to work.
Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena has also directed the motormen under its fold to report to work.
Twenty motormen were earlier terminated from service this morning. At the time of filing this report, as many as 80-85 per cent of the local train services were disrupted.
