A telephone call claiming that some people in a moving vehicle opened fire in a west Delhi locality today sent policemen in a tizzy but investigations revealed that there was no such incident. Police received information that some men in a car had opened fire in Sudarshan Park area around 10 a.m.
After which a police team was rushed there, sources said. However, the investigators could not find any trace of firing. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sharad Aggarwal said there was no firing. "A police team was sent as soon as we received the call.
We did not find anything or recovered any bullet. We think it was a false alarm," he said. A senior police official said adequate security measures were taken and a large number of police personnel were deployed across the constituency.
