With a view to creating better industrial facilities, MP State Industries Development Corporation (MPSIDC), an arm of the state industries’ department planned three state industrial corridors; Bhopal-Indore, Bhopal-Bina and Jabalpur-Singrauli.

The MPSIDC arranged funds through loans from financial institutions to acquire land areas in various industrial centers. However, the process of inviting bids on public private partnership model has yet not started.
“Few proposals for Bhopal-Indore corridor have come up. Investors have evinced interest in Acharpura village and Bagrauda (near Bhopal). Acharpura is to be developed as special education zone while Bagrauda will attract investment from a big automobile company and few small scale units. The land in Bagrauda village has already been allotted,” a senior official in state industries department said.
Another project has been planned as a new industrial destination in Sirsauda village near Dewas industrial area. “As regards Jabapur-Singrauli, a city centre in Jabalpur is planned. While another industrial village has been proposed in Jambarbagri village near Vidisha town,” the official said adding, “another area has also been earmarked out of these corridors as Shivpuri-Morena corridor.”
These corridors were conceptualized to create opportunities for potential investors in various sectors like industrial infrastructure, tourism and even education and research.
MPSIDC and Hudco had signed a deal for soft loan in Khajuraho Global Investors Summit for Rs 1,000 crore to develop these industrial infrastructure projects.
