Filmmaker Prakash Jha, who will represent the Lok Janshakti Party from Bihar’s West Champaran Lok Sabha constituency, has declared in an affidavit that he has personal assets worth Rs 55 crore.
In the affidavit submitted during filing of nominations, Jha said that he had Rs 29,25,602 in cash and bank deposits to the tune of Rs 4,12,33,548. The LJP nominee also has shares and bonds worth Rs 8,81,13,484.
The affidavit also says that Jha has agricultural land worth Rs 16,22,700.
Jha is pitted against Sadhu Yadav, a Congress nominee and brother-in-law of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.
