The Uttar Pradesh government has filed FIRs against two senior bureaucrats charging them with amassing wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income.
The vigilance department said it filed the FIRs against P.N. Mishra and Neelaratna, two senior state government officials, under the Prevention of Corruption Act last night.
The vigilance department last week filed an FIR against an IAS officer, Brijendra Yadav, under the PCA. The Kalyan Singh government soon after assuming office suspended two bureaucrats Lalit Verma in connection with a bribery case and R.K. Sharma, an accused in multi-crore ayurveda scam.
