First report of bird flu in India

 According to the report, Jayant Gaikwad, collector of Nandurbar district, said 27,000 chicken have died in Navapur tehsil in Nandurbar district in the last 10 days and a case of  bird flu is suspected.

Five central teams have visited the district to assess the situation, the report added.
