A 20-member delegation of venture capitalists and foreign institutional investors will visit Uttar Pradesh Thursday, an official said here Wednesday.
The delegation is coming to Lucknow for exploring possibilities of active participation in infrastructure and industrial development projects in the state.
The investors are scheduled to meet senior government officials and major industry players, the official added.
The delegation includes representatives from Capital Global, SBI MF, Franklin Templeton, Premji Invest, IVF, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, India Capital, Invesco, UBP, Ex CLSA and Ambit Capital.
Industrial development department principal secretary, Surya Pratap Singh said that "Coming of angel investors to UP is a clear sign of improving industrial scenario in the state along with enormous investment opportunities existing here."
"They would be helping the new industrial and infrastructure investors by way of providing much needed funds as debt or equity," he added.
The delegation will also meet officials of already established companies in the state, comprising Samsung, Moser Baer, LG, PTC to assess the investor sentiment and scope of investment here.
