Freight rates decline on large postion of trucks in market
Transporters said easy position of trucks in the markets as compared to restricted cargo movements, mainly led to fall in rates
Press Trust of India New Delhi Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital on Saturday following excess enquiries by truck operators amid tight cargo movements.
Transporters said easy position of trucks in the markets as compared to restricted cargo movements, mainly led to fall in some centres freight rates.
Delhi to Jaipur and Gwalior freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 17,500 and Rs 15,500.
Freight rates to Baroda and Surat also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 25,000 and Rs 217,000.
