TWO criminals belonging to the Chhota Rajan gang were killed in an encounter with police in north-east mumbai yesterday, police said. Acting on a tip-off that the duo would be visiting the Shivajinagar area of Mankhurd, police laid a trap. On being asked to surrender the gangsters fired at the police team and were seriously injured in the retaliatory firing. The duo were taken to Rajawadi hospital where they were declared dead, they added. The two, Mohammad Yasin Khan (35) and Vijay Kumar (33), were wanted in connection with several murder and extortion cases.
