The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has urged the Union petroleum and natural gas ministry to withdraw the proposed hike in the prices of natural gas.
In a memorandum submitted to Union minister Ram Naik, the GCCI emphasised that the proposal is not only hasty and ill-conceived but will also adversely affect power, fertiliser and other industries and impair the competitive edge of the industries.
