On the mini-hydel power projects, Parthasarathy Genco had nine mini hydro stations with a capacity of 8 mw. He said they produced 12 mu last year and 4 mu so far during the current year. |

Genco would commission another four mini hydro stations with a capacity of 4.15 mw during the current year on the branch canal of Sriram Sagar Project. |

He further informed that as part of capacity addition programme, Genco was planning to construct 1x660 mw unit at VTPS, RPP stage-ii (2x210 mw), and 6x39 mw hydro station at Jurala. |

As part of its anti-pollution efforts, Genco proposes a coal washery at Mahanadi Coal Fields for supply of washed coal to VTPS. It is estimated to cost around Rs 80 crore. |

Due to the remedial measures taken up by Genco at Kinnerasani dam, which supplies water to Kothagudem Thermal Power Station, water was built upto a record full reservoir level of 407 feet. |

With the present storage at 8.4 tmcft, with an additional storage capacity of 2.25 tmcft, Genco is in a position to spare 1 tmcft of water for irrigation in Khariff season. |

The total turnover of Genco was expected to be around Rs 4,000 crore for the current year. It was Rs 2,050 crore for first half-year. |

Parthasarathy added that about Rs 1,893 crore high-cost loans were swapped with low-cost loans, resulting in a saving of Rs 168 crore. Another Rs 1,493 crore is proposed for swapping by the fiscal end, saving an amount of Rs 170 crore. |
