Global major GE today said India should focus on faster execution of policies and single-window clearance to attract more investment in the country. |
"We all know where the problem is. We don't need more policies, we need faster execution," Pramod Bhasin, president, GECIS Global and GE Capital India, said at the conference organised by Euromoney. |
Bhasin said the company had a huge commitment in terms of the resources in the country. "No other country can match India. Despite a long list of impediments India had been a success story for us. We see a bright future here," he said. |
He said the Indian market was very competitive and offered very low margin. "One has to relook what is working and what is not," Bhasin said. |
He said companies from outside the country needed to have a good knowledge about the local area to excel in the country. |
