Amid questions over Commonwealth Games preparations, Sports Minister M S Gill today wanted to apprise the Cabinet about it, but was disallowed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Gill, who had come with a file, sought the permission at the fag end of the meeting to give a presentation on the preparations for the mega sporting event, sources said.
However, Singh disallowed him, saying it was unnecessary as the issue had been discussed last evening at his meeting with Gill, Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy, Delhi Lt Governor Tajendra Khanna and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, the sources said.
