Goa facelift cost Rs 110 cr, says Parrikar

Over Rs 110 crore had been invested for upgrading infrastructure in view of the International Film Festival of India 2004 being held for the first time in Goa from November 29, according to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
 
"We have spruced up the entire place. Major investments have been made in upgrading the infrastructure in keeping with international standards," he told reporters here today.
 
"The entire Panjim city has had a major facelift," he said, adding that it was important to upgrade facilities in view of the numerous delegates both from abroad and India visiting this major tourist destination.
