The producers who wish to shoot their films in Goa may soon be spared from the hassle of approaching various agencies for licences, as the state government is mulling over the proposal of having a single window system for them.

The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar last evening decided to work out single window system for the film producers, who intend to shoot in the state. Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), a state-run society, will be nodal agency for the film shootings, Parrikar told reporters after the meeting.

ESG Vice Chairman Vishnu Surya Wagh said that the state wants to encourage more film-shoots, which will also generate revenue and also "put Goa on a global platform".

"The film producers have to approach multiple agencies for the film shootings. If there is a single window system, they would be spared of running around," Wagh said. The details of the scheme would be finalised soon, he added.
