"This will be South Asia's first such project which will attract more tourists to the state," said N P S Varde, director of science, technology and environment department said. |
The project, first planned in 1996, was shelved following the Pokhran II tests after an Indian firm with Australian partners, which had evinced keen interest, withdrew after the nuclear tests, he said. |

"The state government has again invited EOI for this 120-crore project," Varde said, adding, "It will also be a major tourist attraction." |
