Replying to a debate on the demand for grants for the defence ministry, which was being held after a decade or so, Antony gave an exhaustive and detailed reply to apprehensions raised by members on the Pay Commission, military build-up with Pakistan and China, and military ties with the United States.
Antony said the commission set up by the PM on the anomalies in the Pay Commission would do justice to them.
He detailed certain other measures undertaken by his ministry to improve service conditions for the armed forces.
