A spokesman of the Food and Supply Department said here today that these orders were issued under provision of clause 10 of the Haryana Prevention of Hoarding and Maintainance of Quality Order 1977.
According to this it would limit the wholesalers and retailers to declare their excessive or minimum stock hoarding of any food and stock items prescribed under these commodities.
He said that wheat traders would have to declare their stocks before the concerned Food and Supplies official if the stocks were in excess of 1,000 quintals.
Similarly, minimum limits had also been prescribed for other commodities.

He said that no license of any kind would be needed by any trader nor would there be any upper limit for the stocks held by them.
Nor there would be any restriction on Interstate movement of food grains. The trader would only have to make a simple declaration in the prescribed proforma to the concerned Assistant Food and Supply Officers, District Food and Supply Officer and District Food and Supply Controller for any stocks held above the given minimum limits.
The spokesperson said that this order would ensure that no hoarding of these items took place and consumers get adequate supply in the open market.
At the same time, the traders and stockists can also carry on their present operations unhindered and without any license and limit.
