Telecom expert Sam Pitroda presided over the function that witnessed a record 83 students, specialising in different disciplines of design, being conferred with diplomas on completion of the courses.
In his convocation speech, Pitroda, while lauding the efforts of the NID in the past years, said what the country needs is designers producing models and designs for the masses and not just for the rich.
