Having completed 100 days in its second term, the government will soon come out with a progress report on its major flagship programmes on rural employment, education, healthcare and housing.

A series of media interactions have been planned over the next couple of weeks with concerned ministers to discuss in details the progress made in various schemes concerning the rural and urban poor, a senior official today said.

The schemes on which these interactions are being planned are Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation programme, National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and National Rural Health Mission.

The government would focus on major achievements in these schemes and provide updates on them and the future roadmap, they said.

To questions on schemes relating to welfare of minorities, the sources said the government was working out a mechanism to involve MPs and MLAs of 90 minority-concentrated districts in implementing multi-sectoral development plans meant for their uplift.

A clear picture would emerge by December, the sources said, adding that almost 60 per cent of these districts have been identified and funds allotted to them.
