The Centre is planning to set up a National Cyber Security Coordination Centre (NCCC) to fully secure the country’s cyber space.
Speaking at the Regional Editors Conference, organised by the Press Information Bureau here, Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology and Law & Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad said that action has been initiated to set up the NCCC to fully secure the country’s cyber space and strengthen the country’s cyber security posture.
The government is fully aware of the possible threats to the country’s cyber security, said the minister, adding that the NCCC would ensure near real-time threat assessment and situational awareness which would help in analysis and generation of timely alerts and periodic reports.
The minster said that the NCCC project has been approved for implementation and the technical approach and implementation plan has been prepared.
Prasad also said that training would be given to judges, police officers and others. Further, he said that they would be sensitised adequately on this issue.
