Gram, kabli gram rise on retailers demand

Gram and kabli gram prices firmed up to Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today, following a rise in retailers demand coupled with higher producing region advices.

Market analysts said pick up in retailers demand against slow down in arrivals mainly pushed up wholesale gram and kabli gram prices.

In the national capital, gram recovered by Rs 35 to Rs 2,450-2,475, while its dal local and best quality up by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,850-2,865 and Rs 2,950-3,075 per quintal, respectively. Kabli gram small variety also moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 5,150-6,650 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 3,900-4,300, Urad chilka (local) 4,800-5,200, best 5,300-5,800, Dhoya 5,250-5,350, Moong 4,000-5,000, Dal moong chilka local 5,000-5,400, Moong Dhoya local 5,300-5,500 and best quality 5,900-6,100.

Masoor small 2,950-3,150, bold 3,100-3,350, Dal Masoor local 3,500-3,600, best quality 3,800-4,100, Malka local 3,450-3,500, best 3,600-3,700, Moth 1,700-2,000, Arhar 3,300-3,800, dal arhar dara 4,900-5,300.

Gram 2,450-2,475, gram dal(local) 2,850-2,865, best quality 2,950-3,075, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,150, Rajdhani 1,150, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,400-3,800, China 3,500-4,000, red 3,750-3,850, kabli gram small 5,150-6,650, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, lobia 4,500-5,000, peas white 2,100-2,200 and green 2,250-2,450.
