Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jyotiraditya Scindia today hailed Union Budget and said that common men will be benefited by it.
"It is a growth infusing budget capable of tackling inflation and giving sustainable growth to the country's economy. Aam Aadmi will get its benefit," Scindia said.
He said that the economy is projected to grow at 9 per cent, implementation of Direct Tax Code (DTC) from April, 2012 and introduction of Constitution Amendment Bill in the current session of Parliament to pave way for roll out of Goods and Services (GST) and many other things have been proposed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in the Budget.
"Be it infrastructure and service sectors, all are likely to get a boost due to heavy budgetary allocation by the government. Especially, there is a relief for common people as a lot been proposed for them. There is an outlay of over Rs 2,000 crore to boost production of vegetables, pulses, oilseeds and fodder," Scindia, Lok Sabha member from Guna constituency in Madhya Pradesh, said.
"The Budget estimates will help in controlling high prices. It is really a good budget," the Minister said.
"Increase in Aaganwadi workers pay from Rs 750 to Rs 1,500 per month and increase in tax slabs is a big step to provide help to small and middle class families," the MoS said adding that women and senior citizens would get extra benefit.
