The government of Gujarat has announced a broad policy framework for disinvestment and restructuring of loss-making state government corporations.
The government has also decided to form a Cabinet sub-committee to take further steps, while an expert committee will be formed which will report to the Cabinet sub-committee.
Though ministers and top state government officials remained tight-lipped about the numbers and names of loss-making corporations to be disinvested, sources said that at least half-a-dozen state corporations will be disinvested in next one year.
