Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced that the state government will implement the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission on the pattern laid down by the Central government.

This was stated by the Chief Minister at Palwal, which is the newly-created 21st district of Haryana, while addressing a function organised to mark Independence Day celebrations.

Hooda also announced that a committee headed by Chief Secretary Dharam Vir has been constituted to study the recommendations of the Pay Commission.

Announcing that Hodal, Palwal and Hathin tehsils of the new Palwal district, had been declared as industrially-backward areas, Hooda said the construction of the Kundli-Maneshar-Palwal expressway and development of special economic zones (SEZ) along the expressway would give a boost to industrial activities in the new district.

“Haryana has maximum per capita investment in the country and also at the top in terms of per capita income. The state has so far attracted a record investment of Rs 35,000 crore and investment proposals of Rs 80,000 crore are in the pipeline,” Hooda said.
