Hatyana forms panel to monitor implementation of Food Security schemes

Committee would inform District Grievance Redressal Officer of any violation of provisions of National Food Security Act 2013

Haryana government has constituted a State Vigilance Committee to regularly supervise the implementation of all schemes under the National Food Security Act, 2013. While stating this here today, a spokesman of Food and Supplies Department said that Committee would be headed by Food and Supplies Minister.

Other members of the committee include Principal Secretaries of Food and Supplies Department, Women and Child Development Department, Rural Development Department, Urban Local Bodies Department and School Education Department. Director General, Food and Supplies Department would serve as Member Secretary of the committee.

The Committee would inform the District Grievance Redressal Officer, in writing, of any violation of the provisions of the National Food Security Act, 2013.

It would also inform the District Grievance Redressal Officer, in writing, of any malpractice or misappropriation of funds found by it. For these purposes, the Committee could nominate any officer or team of officers working in Haryana in any Department or Board or Corporation as Inquiry Officer or Team, he added.
