Karnataka High Court today directed former Chief Minister of the state BS Yeddyurappa to produce a copy of the Lokayukta report on illegal mining on his petition seeking quashing of the report which had indicted him.

A Division Bench of Justice KL Manjunath and Justice Kempanna, before whom the petition came up, adjourned it to August 10.

On August two, Yeddyurappa had filed a petition seeking quashing of Chapter 22 of the Lokayukta report which had indicted him for receiving Rs 10 crore donation from a mining firm and also sale of land to another mining firm at an "exorbitant" price by his family.

In his petition, Yeddyurappa had said the references made against him in the Lokayukta report was beyond the terms of reference set for the anti-corruption watchdog to investigate illegal mining from 2000 to July 19, 2010.

The Lokayukta report on illegal mining triggered a political storm in the state, leading to Yeddyurappa's resignation as Chief Minister.
