Hitex Convention Centre, Golf Course Works Commence

A world-class convention centre and golf course are coming up in Cyberabad. Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu today performed ground-breaking ceremony for the centre in the vicinity of Hitex grounds.

This project is being developed by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) in association with Dubai -based property management company, Emaar Properties. Emaar and APIIC would hold equity in the ratio of 51:49.

The golf course with multi-use residential and commercial facilities is coming up right opposite Indian School of Business in Manikonda village. The equity participation of Emaar and APIIC in it would be in the ratio of 74:26. The convention centre would have a seating capacity of 3000 and can be expanded upto 5000. There will also be a business hotel of 300-room capacity.

The chief minister asked the joint venture partners Emaar and APIIC to increase the seating capacity of the convention centre to 8000 and the room capacity of business hotel to 1000 in order to meet the future demands created by tourism industry in the state.
