Hitex set to host 19 exhibitions this year

The Hitex exhibition centre in Hyderabad will be witnessing an unprecedented scale of activity this year, with around 19 national and international level exhibitions expected to take place starting next month.
 
Among them are the Bus and Truck expo-2005, the second India International Commercial Vehicles and Accessories Exhibition, the first such event in the state, is scheduled to be held during 7-9 January, 2005.
 
Hitex's marketing arm Andhra Pradesh Expositions Private Limited (APEX) and Chennai-based Unitech Exhibitions private Limited are jointly organising this B2B exhibition on commercial vehicles.
 
Thailand exhibition-2004 and the Hyderabad shopping carnival "" an international life style and consumer products expo "" are among the other new trade fairs to be held this year. Hitex is jointly presenting at least five such expositions.
 
According to A Vashishta, chief operating officer of Hitex about 150 exhibitors are expected to participate in the exhibition. The show includes all types of commercial vehicles, truck and bus coach builders, commercial construction vehicles, accessories, commercial automobile components, engine and body parts among others.
 
Auto majors like Tata, Volvo, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland are expected to participate in the event.
 
M Koteeswaran, director of Unitech, said around 6,000 trade visitors are expected to participate in the three-day exhibition.
 
The annual International Exhibition on Information Technology and Communications (Gitex) is also slated to be held at Hyderabad for the third time tentatively on 12-14 January, 2005.
