Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh were among the states which substantially raised their share of own resources in the annual plan financing in 2013-14, Parliament was informed today.
Himachal Pradesh raised its own share in the plan financing to Rs 284.57 crore during 2013-14, up 279% from the previous fiscal.
Arunachal Pradesh's share was Rs 522.85 crore in FY14, up 134% over a year ago period, Minister of State for Planning Rajiv Shukla said in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.

Shukla said the Planning Commission in its interaction with states encourages efficiency in resource use as well as increase in the share of own resources in plan financing.
Among others, Tamil Nadu raised its own resources share by 38.47% (Rs 33,962.54 crore), Assam 37.44% (Rs 3,626.93 crore), Odisha 36.87% (Rs 17,032.42 crore), Madhya Pradesh 33.16% (Rs 29,174.23 crore), Uttar Pradesh 27.05% (Rs 57,864.10 crore) and West Bengal by 26.56% (Rs 23,554.59 crore).
However, the share by some states fell hugely in terms of their own resources in the annual plan financing, the Minister said.
Manipur's own share in plan financing fell by 244% in 2013-14, Mizroram down 125%, Nagaland down by 132%. While share by Meghalaya fell by a marginal 0.15% in the current financial year.
