Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday, in a volte-face, said that the UPA government at the Centre is assisting the state in issues relating to development works.

Only four months ago, the CM had accused Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of 'bias' against Karnataka.

"The UPA government has not indulged in vengeful politics. In fact, we are getting more help from the Centre as compared to what we got when the Congress-JD(S) coalition was in power," he said while interacting with journalists from across the state through video conferencing on the occasion of 'Kannada Press Day'.

The chief minister said that he looked forward to positive developments for the state in the coming days.

"The Prime Minister's visit will herald a change in the city's infrastructure front. Singh was optimistic about the state's growth. We will follow his roadmap for the city."
