Taking a step forward in the direction of bilateral economic cooperation between India and Bangladesh, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Indo-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industries on September 15 reached and agreement and signed an MoU.
The prime objective of the agreement was to strengthen the business cooperation between the two countries.
The issues that have been addressed in the agreement were the strengthening of trade and investment, delegate promotion, exchange of information and working of policy issues. This has been termed as a great achievement for both the chambers of commerce who would now be albe to explore all the possibilities of investment opportunities between the two countries.
"The MoU would take forward the economic cooperation and make it easier for entrepreneurs of both the countries to enhance further the relationship," said MK Saharia, chairman, North-East Regional Counicl of ICC.
Saharia termed the MoU as "a beginning of focused and close relationship between the two countries in the field of goods, services and investments."
