The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is in the process of introducing two new post membership qualification courses in competition law and corporate restructuring and insolvency.
ICSI president, Nesar Ahmad, told mediapersons here on Monday that the two courses, approved by the government, were developed in association with the Competition Commission of India and Insol International, a global body of insolvency practitioners.
He said the institute, which introduced a new syllabus for company secretary foundation programme last month, had also prepared a draft syllabus for executive programme (stage II) and professional programme (stage III) examinations. The opinion of the stakeholders was sought on the syllabus following which the draft would be finalised.
Stating that ICSA has taken initiatives towards growth and development of the members, students and the profession, Ahmad said the institute had formulated a new “vision and mission” that was aimed at development of “high calibre” professionals.
