Neighbouring Pakistan will be the partner country in this year's India International Trade Fair (IITF) held from November 14, a 14-day long event held every year in the national captial.
"This year over 7,000 companies from India along with as many as 38 countries would participate. The companies would display their products and services," India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) Chairman and Managing Director Sheela Bhide told reporters here.
While 100 companies from Pakistan would to dispay thier wares, 10-nation economic bloc ASEAN have been selected as the focus region, Bhide said.
"About 100 companies (covering 1,000 sq metre space) from Pakistan would display various products including textiles, handicraft, food products and small machinery items," she said.
Six nations from Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines and Singapore would showcase their products in the fair.
Bhide said that this year the ITPO is expecting over 3 million people in the fair. "We would do good profit. The profits would be further used to cross subsidised foreign fairs," she added.
Commenting on the theme of the fair, Bhide said: "The twin themes of 28th edition of IITF are infrastructure and women's empowerment."
The tickets for the fair would cost Rs 30 (for adults) and Rs 20 (children) on weekdays, while on weekends it would be priced at Rs 60 (adults) and Rs 30 (children).
