India and Colombia today signed an agreement for co-operation in the energy sector.

The agreement was signed in the presence of visiting Colombian Minister for Energy and Mines Herman Martinez Torres.

The co-operation will span all forms of business in the oil and sector ranging from exploration and production to refineries and marketing.

ONGC Videsh Ltd already has stake in a producing field in Colombia and interest in three deep-water exploration blocks.

The two countries will now set up a joint working group to identify possible projects.
