A clutch of companies that held board meetings over the last few days and announced interim dividends, including Reliance Industries, Reliance Petroleum and Wipro, have now revoked their decisions.
Reliance Industries informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today it would be securing the consent of its board through circular resolution to revoke the interim dividend declared for the financial year 2001-02. All other listed Reliance companies like Reliance Petroleum, Reliance Capital and Reliance Industrial Infrastructure have also informed the exchanges to this effect.
Tata Steel is also set to follow even though it has not formalised its decision.
