India today indicated that it would take up with Pakistan the issue of spoofing of terrorists' satellite phones which hamper efforts to track them.

"We always take up (issues) whenever something bothers us or Pakistan. We always take up (issues) mutually," External Affairs Minister S M Krishna told reporters here.

He was responding when asked to comment on reports that Pakistan is "spoofing" Thuraya satellite phones commonly used by terrorists, thus hampering efforts to track their movements and undermining its stated commitments to end anti-India terrorism.

"Whatever Pakistan does, India has been closely monitoring those events," Krishna said.

He said the country's borders are "secure".

Underlining that India wants friendly relations with Pakistan, he said leaders of the two countries would use every available opportunity in the international fora to meet and make efforts in this direction.

Asked about Islamabad's commitment in handling terror, Krishna said "we have said that Pakistan will have to visibly exhibit its resolve to fight terror... These will be factored in our response".

On whether he was satisfied with the actions being taken by Pakistan, he said "it is not the question of my satisfaction. It is the question that we have to live as neighbours."
